Writing a Video Resume That Gets Noticed

A video resume is not a movie — it is a focused, 60-second pitch. The goal is to give a recruiter a reason to read the rest of your profile and invite you to a conversation.
The 60-second structure
- 0–10s: Name, role, and where you are based.
- 10–35s: Two or three highlights from your experience, with specifics.
- 35–50s: What you are looking for and why you are a strong fit.
- 50–60s: A warm closing line and thank you.
Keep it natural
Speak as if you were talking to a friendly hiring manager. Record a few takes, pick the one where you sound most relaxed, and do not worry about being word-perfect.
The basics matter most
Good light (face a window), quiet surroundings, and a steady camera will do more for you than any fancy editing. Frame yourself from the chest up and look into the lens.
When you are ready, record your video resume directly from your profile and attach it so every recruiter who views you can press play.
